False color image of periodic comet 51P/Harrington (center), obtained on 2001 Dec. 18.864UT with 19-cm, f/4 flat field S-C telescope, V filter and Wright CCD. Exposure time was 120sec. IAUC 7769 reported the comet has split in two components along the E-W line which is barely visible also on this image. Traces of an artificial satellite are also present. Copyright © 2001 by H.
