Time-lapse movies from Island of Cres, Croatia
Movies were composed from night sky images, obtained during summer holidays on Cres. Cres is the largest island in Adriatic sea and among the less inhabited. The local light pollution is very low. The main light pollution is coming from outside the island, mainly from city of Rijeka (north) and Istria (west). The southern sky is quite dark, because the Italian coast is about 150 km far away. The southern sky is much darker than anywhere in Slovenia, giving the opportunity to image the central parts of our Milky Way Galaxy.
