These are nearly true-color CCD images of comet Hyakutake composed from two separate frames taken with the H2O+ and red continuum filters.
They were extra processed by Bojan Dintinjana to meet the nearly true-color balance in a way that blue color represents the singly ionized water ions and the yellow-reddish colors the dust component.
Images should be credited to Bojan Dintinjana and Herman Mikuz.
