| Look at the collection of finest colour images, obtained both with CCD detector and color films. |
| Images obtained with color films were additionally processed to bring out the ion tail delicate structure. All CCD images of comet Hale-Bopp are nearly true-color, composed from three separate frames taken with the H2O+, V and dust continuum filters. They were processed to meet the nearly true-color balance in a way that blue color represents the singly ionized water ions, yellow color comet dust and green color comet coma. |
